CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS OF THE 2024 VIRGINIA STALLINGS AND CINDY PRESTANDREA SCHOLARSHIP! 

 

 

Josiah Hicks (Bowie, MD), a senior at Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North High School, will attend Morgan State University in the fall to study Entrepreneurship.

Suitland student Adefunsho “Ashley” Adeyemi (District Heights, MD) will study Anthropology at Sewanee: University of the South.

A'Nya Vest (Upper Marlboro, MD) attends Trinity Washington University (Upper Marlboro, MD) and will use her award to continue to study Health Services.

Ava Garland, a Business Administration major at the University of Michigan, will also use scholarship monies to complete her studies.

 

Each year we salute the commitment and dedication of two of our long-standing credit union legends, Virginia Stallings and Cindy Prestandrea with our scholarship program.

This year we expanded our scholarship program by awarding (4) $2,500 scholarships to members that were:

  • Graduating from high school.
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Were accepted to an accredited trade or vocational school.

Applicants were required to complete an application outlining their academic history, community involvement, and a newly required video essay response for a chance to win.
