National Credit Union Youth Week
Every year since 2002 credit unions all over the country have set aside one
week in April to encourage young people to use money wisely. That week
is known as National Credit Union Youth Week. This year it runs from April
18 to April 24.
Any young person under the age of 19 who makes a deposit to his or her
PGCFCU savings account during National Credit Union Youth Week will be
entered in the National Youth Savings Challenge drawing. Ten young savers
from credit unions nationwide will each win $100.
Good luck to one and all!
Teens are at the place in their financial lives where there is a lot to think about. They’re starting their first jobs, buying their first cars and starting to think about their future. There are lots of things the credit union can do to make this transitional time a bit easier.

We offer guidance for teens in a fun and non-patronizing way through our Guides to Independence site. They can learn about money management through other teens and college-aged youth that have been through where they’re headed and lived to tell about it. They can play games and take quizzes that teach them about money without seeming like school. They can even win iTunes cards and get chances to write for the site.
An educational tool that will increase your knowledge when making decisions. There are several interactive coaches that educate through games, quizzes, calculators and simulations.

We also have just the ticket for those who want to learn about managing money. It’s all right here at PGCFCU!
