PROGRAM DETAILS

We recognize the challenges many faced during the recent government shutdown and appreciate the resilience of our members throughout this time. With the shutdown now over as of November 12, our special assistance programs—including loan payment relief and short-term financial support—are no longer available.

The following programs were made available to our members:

Payment Deferrals on Existing Loans

  • Qualified loans may skip up to 2 months of payments
  • Excludes real estate loans, mobile homes, and revolving loans (including credit cards)

Waived Early-Withdrawal Penalty on Certificates of Deposit

  • No penalty on withdrawals up to $10,000

Government Shutdown Loan

  • Loan amounts up to $5,000 (max 2× member’s monthly income)
  • Terms up to 24 months
  • Flat rate 7.49% APR*
  • No payments for up to 60 days
  • Member must qualify under normal lending guidelines

    To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: when you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you.
